Rebirth

by Lauri

It’s so hard in this modern, fast-paced world to stop.

We resist taking space…
Letting go…
Completion…
Grieving….

Even writing the word grieve can be scary. It makes us uncomfortable. Yet here we are … 2018 is over. It’s complete. And for most of us, there are things to let go of and grieve. There are also things to be grateful for in each and every moment. Both the grieving and the gratitude are part of our human experience. Fortunately the passing of a year gives a lot of us the excuse we may need to pause and reflect.

As you say goodbye to 2018, what are you letting go of that no longer serves you?

As you welcome 2019, what are you embracing going forward?

What’s your Theme for 2019?

(In case they inspire you, my answers are down below in the PS. But first … ) I’ve been a bit silent for the past few weeks. I’ve taken some space during the Holiday Season to be present with some of the people in my life that I’m grateful for … I’ve also been in an intense period of gestation.

What are you giving birth to in the year ahead?

Happy New Year! I hope you realize your dreams (and more) in 2019!

With passion & love,
Lauri

PS: My reflections …

1) As you say goodbye to 2018, what are you letting go of that no longer serves you?
Scarcity
Settling
Forcing
Grasping
Proving Myself
Not enough
“Yeah, but’s”
Wanting to Know/Nail it down (before it’s time).

As I’m writing this, I’m also remembering that I’m letting go of my condo … the first home I bought with big girl pants and a grown up mortgage. I say “first” because I’d like to claim that there will be another purchase of another home in my future. That one was right back then, the letting go is what’s right in this moment.

2) As you welcome 2019, what are you embracing going forward?

Abundance
Rhythms
Process/The Path
Intuition
Big rocks First
Mystery
Rituals
Space
Partnership

3) What’s your theme for 2019?
Mine is Creative Flow. (Supported by intuition, presence and collaboration/partnership/we) … I’ve got it written like this on my board:

      Creative Flow
Intuition/Presence/We

This kind of reflection helps us remember that we are not victims of circumstance, we are creating our lives. I look forward to seeing what you create this year. 😉
