2020 has been one hell of a year! We’ve faced wave after wave of crisis: COVID, shelter in place orders, social unrest, fires, political strife, more shutdowns. Many of us have personally experienced deep and profound grief.
It’s tempting to clench our jaws, close our eyes, and leap blindly into 2021 – hoping that the nightmare will end. In fact, we may want to treat 2020 like a bad dream and enter the new year pretending it never really happened.
I get it. I have never before hopped on the bandwagon of saying, “This year sucks. I can’t wait for it to be over.” This year, I’ve caught myself saying it more than once.
If we leap blindly, without pausing to digest our experience this year, we’ll miss out on a powerful chance to reflect, release and rise.
2020 has also taught us a lot about who we are and what’s important to us. We have been asked to access an inner strength we may not have known was there. The very challenges we’ve each faced have also shined a light on what matters most.
Will you take a moment before 2020 ends to pause and reflect on your challenges, your triumphs, and your learning?
Only after creating the space to pause and reflect are we truly ready for rebirth. By embracing the end, we can begin anew. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, we can now create something from what’s been destroyed.
If you’d like some help reflecting on 2020 and rising in 2021, it would be my honor to support you. I promise to see you, to hear you, and to hold space for you. I’m offering Release and Rise Sessions for $126 (reg $400) in honor of my engagement on 12/6.
*Book by 12/18 and schedule for anytime between now and January 15, 2021.
